An EE Tune-Up

Erica von Kleist stopped by to provide a tune up as Jazz I prepares for Essentially Ellington this coming May.  In addition to working with Jazz I, Erica worked with students in Jazz East and Jazz West in a masterclass focusing on improvisation and the blues.

Erika helped students find new levels of soul and emotion in their playing by focusing on aspects of story-telling.  She had students "story board" pieces to identify ways to create more contrast.
