Jon Nelson Wins Melody Contest
Composer Rick DeJonge to use Jon's Melody as basis of full composition to be debuted at WMEA convention
Sun Prairie High School Student Jon Nelson is advancing his young musical career by winning a melody competition sponsored by the Wisconsin Music Educators Association (WMEA) and Jupiter Band Instrument Company. The contest solicited 8 bar melody entries from Wisconsin students. Jon's winning entry will be used by composer Rick DeJonge to write a full composition which will premier at the WMEA convention October 30th, 2009.
